Hi I’m Saul and I like to learn about how things works, I started editing the source code of games at around 13 years old. I received my first payment for web development at 16 for hosting websites and forums. Im 27 right now so that’s over 10 years of experience with software development and distributed systems.
I started programming in C++ and LUA because I wanted to customize game servers and I did it thanks to projects like Open Tibia, The Forgotten Server and rAthena. I installed Linux Ubuntu thanks to the free CD they used to send, 192MB of RAM with Windows XP wasn’t enough to read a really large folder of game sprites.
I started working professionally with web technologies on a hosting provider for 2 years, then a data center which gave me a deeper insight into the IT Infrastructure industry. I jumped into consulting with Softtek and after 5 years I moved to the Financial industry with Clip payments.
Currently I’m working at GBM Corp. I like to implement strategies, like:
- Corporate Developer Platforms (Apps to help developers)
- Corporate Technical Documentation (Docs as Code)
- Infra as Code with Terraform (Provision & Management)
- Makefile standard for CI/CD + onboarding
- Migration to GitLab (Self Hosted)
- Cloud Infrastructure Cost Savings
- Cloud Migration & Multi Cloud
- Remote Development Workspaces
